I have been playing football since I was 8 years old. The first time i stepped on the field, I knew that this was my passion and what I wanted to continue working at. Since then, I have taken many years training, and getting better in order to take this sport to the next level. I am in the weight room 4 days a week and I do agility work/running on the weekends. I am able to overcome hurdles and adversity and I will not stop working until I am the best I can possibly be. I hope to play wide receiver at the college level and I am able to work hard no matter the situation or environment. One thing that matters to me the most is finishing. No matter if you are tired, sore, hurting, or feel like giving up you always finish! I also carry that over into my academics by trying my best in school.
I hope to attend a college in which I am challenged both on the field and in the classroom. Academics is a very important part of both high school and college and I work at focusing just as much on academics as I do on football. I love math and also business classes are interesting to me. I hope to find the right college for me based on football and academics.
I have played wide receiver for about 5 years now (6th-10th grade), and I absolutely love it. I played running back from 3rd grade until 6th grade and due to my ability to catch, and my size, my coach moved me to wide receiver. When I caught my first ever touchdown pass it felt amazing. For some reason it felt different than scoring on a run, and I don't know why but I just fell in love with the position and thats still a love that I have now, more than ever. I like receiver because beating a corner off the line is such a good feeling and my height gives me an advantage to catch a wider range of passes thrown. I am always working on my hands and my footwork along with route running to become the best I can be as a receiver and I believe that a college could use my skills at receiver and also work me to become better at the position.
