My name is Lealand Otto, I am a dedicated athlete and team player on my Platte Valley football team. As I approach the end of my high school career, I reflect on the growth and challenges I've faced over the past three years. I am eager to take my skills to the next level and compete at the collegiate level. Playing as a defensive end and sometimes stepping into a linebacker role has allowed me to showcase my versatility on the field. Despite the unique dynamics of 8-man football, I thrive in the defensive line position, utilizing my strength and agility to create pressure on opposing quarterbacks. My defensive stats speak for themselves: I have recorded 126 tackles throughout my high school career, demonstrating my commitment to stopping the run and disrupting plays. On the offensive side, I serve as a fullback, contributing to our team’s success with a total of 849 rushing yards. Last season, I rushed for 500 yards on just 60 carries, averaging an impressive 8.3 yards per carry. My ability to adapt means I can also fill in as a slot receiver or transition back to tailback when needed, making me a valuable asset in multiple offensive formations. Football has instilled in me a strong work ethic and a sense of discipline that transcends the field. I am passionate about teamwork and leadership, understanding that my role is not just about individual stats but also about uplifting my teammates. As I pursue the opportunity to play at the collegiate level, I am committed to bringing my competitive spirit, versatility, and relentless drive to the program. I am excited about the possibility of contributing to a college team and continuing to develop my skills while making a positive impact both on and off the field.
