Growing up in Missouri, I discovered my passion for playing baseball and football at a young age. As soon as I could walk, I remember having a baseball in one hand and a football in the other. My parents encouraged me to pursue my passion while emphasizing the importance of education. Their unwavering support helped me to develop a balanced approach to life, between sports and school. I strive each day to be competitive in my academic as well as athletics and I never allow one to overshadow the other.
From my childhood, I began playing baseball and football in our local community leagues. During this time my skills in both sports developed and I demonstrated my dedication to succeeding by attending skill specific camps. I spent many hours on the diamond and field, honing my skills as an athlete fueled by the dream of one day playing at the collegiate level. My parents, my mom a teacher, instilled in me a love of learning and a drive to be successful in the classroom. When I was in Kindergarten, I was awarded the "Do The Right Thing" by Channel 4 News in St. Louis for helping another student in need. Since that time, I have clearly understood the importance of service and helping others along the way. I currently volunteer at Open Door Animal Sanctuary and Fourche Valley Rescue as a foster family. I approach every challenge in life with discipline and determination and always set a high standard for myself.
As I continued to grow, my love for sports grew as well and a new focus on football and baseball scholarships became very clear. Although practices and games take up a lot of time and energy in high school, I have never lost sight of my personal academic goals of maintaining a high GPA of 3.9 (4.1 Weighted) and class rank (Top 11%), while achieving my sports dream. Nothing compares to the rush of competition on and off the field. With my eyes set firmly on my future as an athlete at the college level and earning a degree in Physical Therapy, I understand that this goal will not only require hard work but perseverance as well. I am excited to begin my journey and attaining my goals while seizing opportunities that come my way.
