I am a 6'3" quarterback from Alma, Ne. I am a Junior at Alma High School where I am a starter for my second year, as we moved to Alma the summer of 2017, from a larger community. I have a current 95.16 GPA. I would like my college to help me focus on both schoolwork and athletics. I would like to be able to make an impact on and off the field for my school and team. I am looking for a school with a high academic standard, as well as a high level of excellence in its athletic programs. Both of these match my work ethic, dedication and attitude.
Since I was little, I have loved watching college and NFL football. I had so much fun playing catch in the backyard with my dad, which helped influence my passion for the sport. I have played competitive football since a young age, and my commitment to the game has only gotten stronger. My sophomore year I moved to a new school, which caused me to have to prove myself to my new coaches and teammates. After the first few games, my coaches realized how versatile I was, and I was given more roles to play on the team. Other than my primary position as a receiver at that time, I was also the starting kicker, safety/corner, punt returner, kick off team and in the last game of the season, due to an injury, was starting quarterback. We had close games, and good wins, throughout the season which helped our team bond and show our commitment, leadership, and teamwork.
This year, as a junior, I am now the starting quarterback. My favorite position is still wide out, but I am excelling and embraced the quarterback position and will give it everything I have. I have also been given the roles of starting defensive back, kicker, punter, and punt returner. Due to the different the roles I play on the team, it is very important that I am a good leader and leave it all on the field.
My dream has always been to play at the college level, and because of my work ethic, determination to always give 110%, and belief that if you work hard enough you can do anything you set your mind to, I believe that I will be a great asset to a college football program.
