Hello, my name is Kyle and I currently attend Alma High School down in south-central Nebraska. I have been attending Alma since I was in 8th grade. Ever since I've been going to this school I've been improving myself not just as an athlete, but also academically and as a person. It was in Alma where I found my desire to do Track and Field.
During my life, I've known I was faster than most of the kids I've been around. I would never refuse a race from anyone cause I knew I'd beat them. I'd always accept any challenge thrown at me and I still do. It wasn't until my 8th grade year in Alma that I ran in Track for the first time as I didn't have an interest in it at my other school despite my speed. I'd normally place 1st in every event I ran without actually knowing much about technique. It wasn't until the Freshman year that I actually had newly refound interest in Track. I was exceeding my coaches expectations and improving a lot over that year. I placed in every meet and even got my school's outstanding athlete award. (The reward is based on your personal best times for the year like running an 11.6 in a 100m, for example, would contribute towards it)
My goals academically are to work in the field of computer science. I'd like to either work as a computer programmer or technician. I've always been fascinated by computers since a young age. Ever since I was in elementary I've wanted to work with computers and make programs with them. I am still very active with computers as I was when I was younger playing video games with my friends every now and then while still focusing on my athletics.
In my off-season, I usually run on the track to keep myself in good condition for my other sports and keep my track and field techniques fresh in my mind. I like to challenge my friends and teammates in sports to have them also play and perform at their best. Although track and field is an individual sport you also place as a team in track and field. I like to cheer on my teammates as they run their events and give some of my teammates some advice when it comes to running in practice. I also like to help out with the jr. high track team hoping to aspire some of them to be future track athletes.
I train daily working on my VO2 to improve my oxygen usage when running and building up my leg strength. Even if it is cold outside if I can see the black surface of the track I will run on it I will dress warm for the occasion. I'm listed as a sprinter on my profile but I want to be able to do any event if required I want to be as versatile as possible and be able to score the most points in any area that's needed. I am only able to post 4 times on my profile for 4 events but I will list PR's for anything else that's not my usual events on here which is anything above a 400M.
