I just need an opportunity to show that I have all that it takes to play football at a very high level. Just a chance. I think I'm a football player with track speed. I'm also tough and have heart. At this point I think I am very similar to Christian McCaffrey. All of my measurables are better at this point than his, from speed to agility and vj, etc... I think my biggest assets are my vision and ability to cut and get to that next level gear really fast. My talent thus far has got me to Nebraska maybe 6 times now for unofficial visits.
I really want to get on your radar and I want to play college football and win championships. It is also important that my experience in college helps me grow into a productive member of society and allows me to build a family and be a solid member of any community I end up in down the road. I want to lead by example using my talent, work ethic, coachability, and relentless effort to help make my teammates better and achieve the ultimate team goals. I want to be a leader on the field, in the weight room, meeting rooms, classroom and the community.
I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to follow my brother, uncles, cousins, grandfather, and most importantly, my Dad and play Division 1 football. The influence of 90's Husker Power and those principles is what it takes to get to the highest level and know I can put the work in and achieve all my goals. I've worked since 7th grade at Xplosive Edge in Omaha utilizing Boyd Epley's methods and at Premier Mixed Martial Arts under UFC veteran Ryan Jensen to help my strength, speed, and overall athletic ability. With all that training, my running, agility, and jumping times and measurements are significantly better than my Dad's were while he was at Nebraska. I think when I get to rivals in Chicago this spring I'll be able to show the work I've been putting in and my times and numbers will reflect that.
I'm good in the classroom. I have a high moral standards and my faith is important to me. I feel like when I am in the game or on the field, everyone steps up their game and we always have a chance. I can see myself in several different roles in college. I know I have the size and speed to play running back anywhere and I have great hands. In the right setting I know I could grow into the fullback size if needed. I think my skills could ultimately translate to either a Safety of some kind. Wherever I play, I know it will be at a high level and I will make my coaches, teammates, fans, parents, and myself proud.
