My name is Sam Larson. I am a 6'3, 305 pound Senior from Elkhorn High School in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Currently I start at Right Offensive Tackle and Defensive Tackle, but I am open to playing Offensive Guard, Center, and Defensive End at the next level. I am also a very sturdy long snapper. I have recently been offered by five schools. My junior year, I was named All-Conference, All-District, and All-State.
I have been playing football for 3 years and it has been a great challenge for me to improve myself physically and mentally. I have a work ethic in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the field that is second to none. after school, you can find me talking to my teachers about what I can do to improve in that particular class. You can also find me in the weight room or out on the field doing speed drills or technique work. Football and School is my life and is why I work so hard.
Academics is my top priority in high school. I currently have a GPA that is above 3.75 and my ACT score is 28. This year, I was selected Vice President of the Senior Class. I have a total of 6 semesters on honor roll and am a member of the Student Council. It very important that I am a leader on the field and in my school every single day. I enjoy school and I love to learn. I will be taking 2 or 3 AP classes this year to insure that I will be ready for college classes.
Community Service is something that I take very seriously as well. Every summer, I volunteer at local Vacation Bible Schools, as well as many other community services that require volunteer work. I also donate blood every 8 weeks. My jersey number, 73, is very meaningful to me. the number 7 or "lucky 7", is ironic to me, because I know to luck has nothing to do with my future success. I pave my own road to success through hard work and sacrifice every single day. the number three represents to me the three reasons why I play this game of football: for God, for my family, and for my community. I must credit my family for my success 100%. without them, I would be nothing. They have supported me and loved me and I am truly grateful for that.
