Football has impacted my views with regards to working as a team, being a leader, and the understanding of why I need to continue to work hard on the field and off the field. Through every teaching moment I’ve learned to be disciplined, have integrity, and fight through adversity. At the age of 8 I was able to be Super Bowl Champion for the MAA Flag Football League, this is what started my football career. Ever since then I have not stopped trying to be the best. It gave me the opportunity to understand that you can’t just get everything you want, you have to work for it. While I worked hard to be the best on the field, I also strived to be the best in the classroom. I want to be able to be proud of my academic accomplishments as well as my athletic. Going to college won’t change my mind set and I want to graduate with a Bachelors Degree. Through my career I have had to change from being a running back to an Offensive Linemen while in the process of switching schools. Over the years I have done whatever it takes for our team to be successful. Now I can use my speed, my recognition of gaps, and my long arms to get in the backfield for a sack or a tackle. If I didn’t go through my years of different positions and formations it would be a different type of game and I would not be the player I am today.
