Personal Statement

I was 5 when i started my first practice, hitting day. Once I got hit and I instantly just wanted to give up,  I turned to my parents and waved it off wanting to leave but they ignored me so I can get over the pain and tears. Since that day I've loved football more than anything, the sound of hitting and the crowd roaring when I score or make a big play is what made me realize that this is me.  As I got older I was mentally and physically challenged on the field and in the classroom. I m not gonna sit here and say I did everything as said or the right at first. But when I realized this is my life I had to take over my life and do what I need to do to be the best person I can be on and off the field. There are things I ve learned since I ve been playing the sport my whole life, to push myself not in the last quarter but to end as fast and hard as I started. Discipline was one important thing, I failed many times to get it.  Also knowing my limits and still growing to reach my full potential. As the level of competition got higher and harder I learned that it's going to be difficult to be the best but that also I can be the best as I can be. Academics are the reasons I'm even playing the sport, without it I'd be no where. My goal is to achieve computer designing in special effects or video gaming. What are learned from my obstacles in life is that they are put there to test you and break you down until you can overcome them and do what you want to achieve in life. If you can t overcome them, then they aren't for you. Many of them I had to overcome such as injuries, death in family, and life problems with family members,, friends and my parents divorce. It was not as bad but I wasn t able to focus on myself without the parents who raised me, which I ve overcome. But without those things taking place I'd be somewhere else. I possess academic skills such as the ability to learn things quicker then others. I m also pretty good at drawing and making music on my own time. Physically I'm fast and shifty but still capable of me being tackled just as anyone else on the field. Also may not look strong for my skinny figure but I am stronger then I look. Thank you.
