I began playing organized sports at 5 and from that time I fell in love with not only the sports, however, also the team camaraderie and pushing my physical abilities. Since a young age I have always been larger than my peers and as a result, would have to compete against opponents that were older than me. These experiences helped me to develop attributes such as grit, toughness, hard-working mentality and to remain focused on the larger goal. One quality that teachers and coaches of all levels have always seen in me is my leadership skills and ability to help people at every different level. My goal in college is to excel in both education and sports as a way to ensure preparedness for the future.
