The best adjectives to describe me are passionate, loyal, motivated and disciplined. I am hard on myself. I set goals and expect to attain them, especially in my physical pursuits.
My experiences playing varsity football for Horace Greely High School for the past two years have impressed upon me the importance of teamwork and working together to achieve a common goal. I have been training at Athletes Warehouse in Pleasantville, NY and Club Fit in Millood, NY for the past two years in order to improve my key statistics: (40-yard dash, vertical lift, deadlift, squats and benching) and their programs have helped me immensely to become the football player I am today. I am the starting defensive end of my high school team and am having an outstanding year. I have striven to become a leader on my team and learned that to demonstrate leadership, you do not have to be the most boisterous team member. Instead, you can set a leadership example by being the hardest worker; being the first to go to the field and the last to leave. This is what I have striven to do. My passion is to continue to progress as a defensive end/outside linebacker.
I have also felt a deep sense of satisfaction imparting my love of sports to children through my numerous extracurricular activities over the years. I have worked with children as Co-Leader of the Sports Program at Temple Beth El in Chappaqua, NY, Volunteer Coach for Titans Youth Football, Junior Coach for Touchdown Football Camp, assistant counselor at Breezemont Day Camp and volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club in Mount Kisco, NY. My greatest challenge, however, in this realm has been trying to teach baseball and basketball to a child on the the autism spectrum from a disadvantaged home at the JCCA Cottage School in Pleasantville, NY.
