I'm Jason Black, a class of ‘24 football player from Albany, New York. I have been playing for a few years and I also play lacrosse, and a little bit of basketball. My love for football is far greater than any other sport. I have been working with a personal trainer to improve many aspects of my game. I’m in the weight room every day at 5:45 a.m. My teammates are so impressed by my squats they nicknamed me the “quad father.” That’s both a bit embarrassing yet at the same time, makes me proud of the hard work I’ve been putting in. When playing and practicing, I focus on what I need to do and how I need to execute it. I'm always eager to talk to my coaches to improve my game. No matter how many yards or touchdowns I get in a game, I'm always aware that it's a team sport and it's not about me. I am working on getting a NYS regents diploma and strong enough grades to have my choice of colleges, and I'm looking for a college that offers a business degree program.
