Edward Newcombe '16 Recruiting Profile

My future goal is to play for a NCAA College Level Football Team. I have always been able to give a 110% effort every time I step foot on and off the football field. Even at a young age starting with the PEE WEE Football Program, I have always been extremely competitive. Although, with the other sports that I have played or continue to play (track and field, baseball and basketball), I love the physical contact of football. Not only do I always give it my all on the football field, I am also a recent member of the National Honor Society and continue to work very hard on all my academic studies. Some of my immediate goals include finishing my requirements for Eagle Scout. Leading by example on and off the field is a strong quality for me and I am extremely dedicated and thankful with everything I do. Constantly working hard on the field in practice and being in the weight room everyday has earned me a starting Defensive End position on my Ogdensburg Blue Devil Varsity High School Football Team. Also, during my Junior year I served as a backup Running Back including a Special Teams position. One of my individual goals as I enter my Varsity year in 2015 is to become the starting Running Back while at the same time helping secure my team at least another NY State Section X Class C Title. My Academic hard work also paid off earning me a Section X All Academic Award for Football.
