Like most players I have an intense love for this sport. I was playing football since I was 6 years old all the way up till I was 13. I stopped playing because I left the country and moved to England for about 2 1/2 years before coming back. I wanted to get back into football but most school were no longer accepting new students so I had to settle for a school that had good academic as the school that had both good sports and academics were mainly closed off from applications. I did track from my freshman to mid junior year. I have now joined my local community team the Queens Falcons which re-ignited the flame that I had for football. I can already tell that my journey is very different from most athletes for my sport. But I can say that what I bring that another candidate doesn't is resilience, adaptation, courage. Because of the path I’ve taken my process will undoubtedly be harder or more difficult then other candidates. However, if I overcome them, I think it show how serious I take this sport how much it means to me, and shows that I have the strength to get back up no matter how hard it is getting back up and trudging on. That is why I believe that I am different from other candidates and can do and offer things another person can’t.
