Alexander Stewart '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexander Stewart and I go to the Dalton School in NYC. I live with my mom, dad, and grandfather and we have a dog named Freddie.  At Dalton, I am a three-sport varsity athlete since freshman year. While I do three sports, I also always lift on the side all year round. My coaches have always praised me for my work ethic and how I always am the hardest worker in practice. I like to work hard because the success from that work always makes me happy and it keeps me going. In sports, I like to let my play speak for itself. I always try to remain positive on the field and I always make sure to pick up my teammates and even the other team. In school, I work hard and I like to communicate with my teachers so I can have a greater level of understanding and I can learn more. In school, I do face challenges with balancing work and sports. Another challenge I have is my ADD and reading comprehension disorder which makes it harder to understand things. Even with these challenges, I find ways to still succeed by using the resources around me. I believe my level of discipline is what makes me different from most athletes. My discipline in school, on the field, and in the gym is what makes me a great student-athlete. Lastly, I wanted to mention the importance of family. I will always have two families, my parents and loved ones, and my teammates. I believe that family is the most important thing because it gives you something to work and fight for. I hope to be able to continue playing football in college and be able to major in business or analytics.
