Playing football in college has been a goal of mine since I was a young child. From the first time I watched a game with my dad, I immediately fell in love with it. I have known since then, that this was my path... my game.
Now, after playing for 7 years, I still have the same love for the game and a driving passion to excel both on and off the field. I have worked hard on the field and in the classroom to achieve my goal. Although there have been obstacles along the way I have and will continue to use them to fuel my strength to push through.
Football has taught me many things through the years- how to work under pressure, how to come together with others to achieve one goal, and most importantly, how to get back up after being knocked down. I know there are more lessons for me to learn and I look forward to continuing my football journey at the next level.
After my football career comes to end, I know I will be able to look back proudly on what my teammates and I have accomplished together. Someday when I have my own my children, I will tell them about all of the great memories I made, about the teammates who became my brothers and I will pass on the lessons football has taught me.
