Michael Emmel '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael Emmel. I am a 6'5" 335lb football player. Due to my size, I have always played up a level on organized school athletic teams. During my high school freshman year, I was fortunate enough to start on both offensive and defensive line as a Junior Varsity player. Coaches invested much of their time with me and with that I strived to get stronger, quicker and be a positive influence to my team.

During my sophomore varsity year, I was injured and had to sit the season out. This made me realize that I had to be strong emotionally for myself and my team. I continued the season as an active varsity member. I attacked my recovery, set goals, continued to train daily, assisted in practices and provided encouragement for my teammates. 

Because of Covid-19 I had a short spring season and enlisted the help of a personal trainer to improve my strength and conditioning. I spent the whole season starting on the offensive line with some defensive time.

I conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself is a reflection on my team, coaches and the school that I will attend. The discipline, determination and positivity that I have on the field will carry over to my studies as an education major.
