I began playing flag football when I was in fifth grade and fell in love with it, however, my mom was nervous about letting me play football. Over the next 5 years, I worked really hard with my personal trainer on my speed, foot walk and strength. With all of these gains, I convinced my mom to let me play JV Football. I continue to work with my trainer 4-5 times a week to improve. No one ever expects me to do what I do because I'm on the smaller size. However, I can out run most of my teammates (by the way, they are taller than me), along with jumping over them to intercept the ball.
My mom always tells me that I arrived into this world as a fighter. I was born 4 weeks prematurely and spent the first 12 hours of my life under heat lamps and an oxygen hood. I'm not afraid to go after what I want. If I lack the skills, ability, or supplies I will find a way to make it happen. Last summer I balanced two a day Varsity Football Practices, worked full-time as a beach life guard, and worked on Eagle Project Paperwork along with prepping for the upcoming scouting year as the Senior Patrol Leader with no issues, which I am happy to say - I am an Eagle Scout.
I would love to continue to play football throughout college as it is a sport that I love just as much as anything to do with cars. I look forward to speaking with you in the near future.
