Dear Prospective Coach:
My name is Rickey Woodley Jr. I am a 5'9" 160lb former football player for Scotia-Glenville High School. I am currently enrolled in Western New England University where I am a gray-shirt for my freshman year. I was recruited to play slot receiver. In high school I was the starting quarterback my junior year and senior seasons. I feel my abilities will allow me to play on any side of the ball, and in any skilled position needed.
I earned All District and All Conference Honors during the 2014 and 2015 seasons, for defense. I was the team’s second leading tackler my junior year, as well as the rushing leader. My senior season I rushed for more than 1000 yards as the QB, as well as being the leading tackler on my team. My final HS year I had personal goals to exceed all prior accomplishments, as well as shave time off my 40yd and continue to gain mass. It is my desire to play wide receiver or free safety at the collegiate level, but will be willing to play any position that you deem me suitable for. My main attributes are my work ethic, strength, speed and desire to win. I am a person that is strong in my faith and I am of good moral character. I know that I will make a good addition to the right School's football program and overall community. I have a strong desire to play at the next level, but my ultimate goal is to continue my education, and become the best man I can.
In the classroom, I study hard to maintain my GPA, I also volunteer for youth mentoring whenever available and local charity events. I have also been involved with maintaining the grounds at my neighborhood Hospice House.
I would like to attend a college where I can continue to achieve a healthy balance between the classrooms, football field and community. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
