Personal Statement

Sports, especially football has had a tremendously positive impact on my life. The feeling of being part of a team of brothers of 11 on and off the field inspires me to want to give 1000% of myself each time I step foot on the field. I currently play MLB and running back but I am open to SS or whatever position the team needs me to play.  At just 5’10” I play extra hard because heart and the desire to never give up is what champions are made of. I live by the motto “heart over height.” Playing college football has been a dream since I started playing at the age of 7. So to say I am driven would be an understatement; I am willing to do whatever it takes to reach my goals and dreams. I won’t say balancing sports and school is easy but being the best student athlete I can be is my goal. As a student athlete I’ve learned time management and hard work is the key to success.

Our 2015 team, led by Coach John Castellano, went against all odds and won the Section and Regional championship. What got us there was working as a unit. I knew when the ball was snapped my teammates were there for me and I sure as heck was there for them. In the off season I am worked with my coaches and trainers to gain speed and body mass. In the 2016 current season the team went 8-2, unfortunately we lost in the section game but we had an amazing season. I will remember this season and the bonds I made with my brothers forever. It was a dream season for me with 11 TD's, 1163 yards and 85 carries. Hopefully I can continue playing football in college. I am open to different types of schools, but I prefer a stable football program, an environment where I can learn from others and make an impact on the program.
