Taj Martin '26 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0" 280Lb defensive Tackle from Spring Hope, NC. I have started on the Southern Nash High School varsity team for 2 years. I've made some great accomplishments thus far but I'm most proud of my Defensive Captain Award I earned while playing Varsity Ball! I show great sportsmanship on the field, and I am a great team player! I am early to practice and typically the last to leave from practice and game nights!  This is normally due to speaking with my coaches, the team or simply tidying up the locker room. I currently have a 2.8 GPA, and I will continue to work just as hard in the classroom.

It has always been my dream to play college football, and I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the field because both of these areas are very important to me. I believe these two areas go hand and hand and will allow me to become a great success on and off the field! I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of Nursing, Pre-medicine or business. My goal is to apply for FAFSA so that it will help me achieve my goals and aspirations!  

Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I look forward to growing with the team and showing my skills and expertise that I've gained over the years playing the sport I love! I've played at different levels in my life from Flag football, pop warner, AAU and now varsity high school ball and I feel I have what it takes to play at a collegiate level! 

I believe my best fit would be at the DII or NAIA level, although I will absolutely consider high academic DIII opportunities. My areas of interest are but not limited to: North Carolina, South Carolina, Goergia, Florida, Virginia, and Texas.
