Making it to the State championship my Junior year was the most exciting part of my high school career thus far. However, I didn't get there easily. over my freshman and sophomore years, I trained as hard as my body would allow it. I went to every morning practice, stayed after school for extra lifting sessions, and did anything else I could do that would make me better. That all came crashing down during the summer of 2019. In August, I was injured in a bike accident that occurred after football practice. My right Scaphoid bone was broken in half. They estimated that the healing process would take 9 months and I had to receive surgery. The doctors wouldn't allow me to practice, workout, or even run. All of the hard work I had put in ended up being slowly withered away as I decreased in size. Eventually, I did heal and came to the conclusion that I could get through anything, as long as I have the absolute drive to never quit, and work as hard as I possibly can to achieve my goals. This perseverance is what sets me apart from most kids my age, and is what has lead me to where I am today.
