I am Jarrett Nagy. My aspirations are to play football for a Division 1A college or university and to be a starter by the end of my freshman year. Though I have played many sports, my #1 has always been football. My personal goals are to get faster, stronger. and to deepen my understanding of the game by learning from coaches and watching film. Academically, my goal is to graduate with honors and then to go on to Engineering school. I aspire to continue to be a leader both on and off the field.
I am a good candidate for your football team and your school because when I want to get something done, I will work hard until I get it done. I am a great leader. I have played ice hockey for many years and was named captain for five years. I have taken on that responsibility and learned that being a great leader is not always about talking. It’s also about being a role model and setting a good example. I have a strong work ethic and I am a quick learner. If I am told I am doing something wrong, I will listen and learn to do it the right way. I do not give up. I am a great student and I take pride in getting good grades. They are way above the cut line for football players so there is no reason to worry about me ever being academically ineligible
I am different from the other recruits in character because I have heart for the game and for the sport. I have a “never give up” attitude and I am willing to do anything for my teammates. I work hard for the win. I love to hit. I love it when I run. I don’t just juke the guys, I will run them over! I’m willing to fight for that extra yard and play the extra down. Of course I’ll juke when I have to, or when I’m told to, but the feeling I get when the man who just tried to tackle me flies on his back is a feeling like no other. That's why my character is different. I love to win this game!
I am different from the other recruits in athletics because if you say I need to be a certain weight or I need to lift a certain amount I will get there. Not only will I get there but I will love doing it. I won’t complain that something’s too hard or that I can’t handle it. I’m ready for anything you give me. I will work harder and lift to be the strongest but also train to be the fastest. That’s how I’m different in athletics. I don’t give up on a goal.
I am different from the other recruits in academics by my need for more knowledge. I love learning. It is by far one of my favorite things. I also think a B is a terrible grade and that there is no reason to not have all A’s if you put in the effort. I have had constant all A’s for as long as I know and I plan to keep it that way. So that’s how I’m different in academics. I don’t settle for second best.
I am ready to play football for you right now. I can’t wait to put on my helmet, line up and play. I will be ready and prepared to work hard and play hard. I hope I can play for your football team and be a part of your school. I would be a great addition to your program and want the chance to contribute to your team.
