Personal Statement

My name is Quincy James Weaver.   I am a 6’2”, 235lbs defensive end for Holly Springs High School in North Carolina. I am in the class of 2014 and out of this group I consider myself an outstanding, but currently unheard football prospect. Physically I have made huge strides in a short amount of time.  In 2012-2013 seasons I was only 5’11” and 220lbs.  The entire 2012-2013 because I was one of the biggest, quickest, and strongest players on my team for my size I started defensive end.  During my first two seasons in high school I played MLB.   I would prefer playing MLB rather than DE in college because my size is perfect for any LB position in college. I can defeat the block, pass rush, and stop the run with my talents rapidly improving   Nevertheless, I am very coachable and willing to adapt to any changes at any time.  I am very aggressive, tough and I love to hit and run over people.   I show nothing but positive body language and keep the energy positive around me during games and practices.  I choke adversity and persevere through anything.  I am more than just a good football player.   I’ve volunteered for community food shuttles and my church.  I am currently involved in my church’s teen ministry and in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at my school. In the classroom I show nothing but respect, in which I uphold the standards of a student athlete.  I want my 2013-2014 football season to testify to my coaches, teammates, opponents, and college football program prospects that give my all on the football field.  My aspiration is to compete on the highest level in college football.  In college I am considering studying the field of medicine and/or Army ROTC.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
