My name is Caleb Markland and I am a 6'2" 290 lb. Offensive Lineman. I began playing football my sophmore year at Glenn High School in Kernersville, North Carolina. On JV I played Right Tackle and was named All County 2nd Team. That same season I was moved up to Varsity. During that off-season I worked hard and became the starting Varsity Right Tackle and I plan to move over to Guard during my upcoming senior year.
Football hasn't always been my passion, but it has turned out to be something that I love and devote all of my free time to. I train daily through the weight room and conditioning exercises in order to achieve my goals of increasing my strength and speed. My commitment to training will help not only me as a player but also my discipline and integrity off the field.
To be a whole person, life cannot just be about yourself. Service to others and my faith have always been an integral part of my family life. I want to make a difference in the lives of those around me.
My collegiate goals include studying Sports Medicine/ Physical Rehabilitation and of course playing football. I would like to attend a college with a great atmosphere where I can find a good balance between academics and the field.
I am not afraid of hard work and Im prepared to work hard inside and outside the classroom!
