I consider myself a hard-working, honest, team player and person. I believe nothing earned comes easy, and anything worth having is worth working for. One must be dedicated, take nothing for granted and I understand that life does not just provide handouts.
I plan to attend a 4 your college starting the fall of 2023, where my field of study will be robotics and/or information technology.
I have been an athlete since the age of 4, where I studied martial arts for 13 years, and have a blackbelt in Karate and Taekwondo. I started playing football at the age of 7, where it has become my sport of preference, I just love the game. When I reached the 8th grade I started to focus on the receiver position, and in 9th grade, I made the high school team. But a starting position alluded me up until this year due to my size. To compensate for just being 5-10 and 150 lbs, I had to become the quickest and one of the fastest team players. I accomplished this by making the track team in the 2020/2021 season, coupled with many hours of self-training at home with my father. I finally reached a starting position in game two of this season. Some in the college recruitment business may say that's a little late, but I challenge them to come to see me play, to come to see my work out.
Outside the sports areas, I love filmmaking. To date, my brother and I have written, directed, and starred in 3 films. All of which have received numerous awards. Our most recent film, 75 Degrees West can be seen via Amazon Prime (https://www.amazon.com/75-Degrees-West-Thomas-Parrish/dp/B08YNM2S4B).
If you are a school interested in a well-rounded person, who understands hard work, who continues to blossom in football, please consider me.
Thank you!
Note: I actually attend Nash Community Early College, but I play football for Rocky Mount High School. Nash Early College did not appear in the drop-down.
