I am determined to be the best quarterback that I can be. Because of a season ending injury, I realized how much football means to me. As a sophomore, I was the starting quarterback and safety of my JV team. I felt confident going into my sophomore year. In my first game, I had over 250 yards passing, 40 yards rushing and ran in a 2 point conversion. Unfortunately, in my second game, I tore my ACL. At first, all I wanted to do was get back on the field so I could contribute and make a difference for my team. Eventually, I accepted that I wasn't able to play that season. At the start of my junior year, I put all of my focus into rehabbing and weight lifting. Having football taken away from me has made me realize that I need to play to my fullest potential in every game because any game could be my last. Playing my junior season with this attitude made me take advantage of every opportunity I was given. I'm looking forward to a great senior year.
