Making it to the regional finals in my junior year was the highlight of my high school career. However, I feel I grew the as an athlete and a person a when I was the only sophomore starter on my high school’s varsity team. Our junior varsity team season was cancelled, so I had to play as a fifteen-year-old against players who were up to nineteen years old. That experience taught me a lot about the level competition I would have to face, the amount of work required and amount of time I would need to invest to succeed as an elite football player.
I stated playing football at the age of six as I had the chance to watch my brother and my dad play when I was growing up.
Playing football challenges me in many different ways. From having to train to stay at the peak of my game, studying film and knowing our playbook and putting in the extra work when a bunch of my friends are out doing their own thing. Football has taught me the value of work ethic, mental strength and commitment. These skills have not only helped me with football, but I carry them with me as a young man.
I am looking for a program that is good fit both athletically and academically. I believe my work ethic, commitment, and leadership mindset provides me the foundation contribute to your program.
