I discovered my love for football at the young age of 7 years old while playing in my local minor football league. The first time I stepped foot on the field I fell in love, football became the center of everything in my life. I continued playing in my local minor football league for another 6 years until I then transitioned into high school football. This transition was a challenge, but i accepted it and excelled at it.
This challenge came with many ups and downs during my junior years of playing high school football, but i persevered through them and became a starter in both my grade nine and ten years. Not only did I push myself to become a starter, but i was a starter on both offense and defense in my grade ten year as a team leader/ captain I have been told by coaches over my 8 years of playing this sport that i am versatile player who is able to see the field in a way many do not. I would consider myself a well-rounded player overall. I am explosive, strong, versatile, and agile both on and off the field.
Moving away from my athletic qualities, i possess many other qualities as a person as well. I am a good student in the classroom maintaining a 75% average in all my classes. I am always pushing myself to do better in the classroom setting and seeking help from my teachers when needed. I am a respectful and kind individual to all those around me both on and off the field. I also partake as a volunteer coach with my local minor football league in the summer while on break from school as I enjoy giving back to my community. My goal is to help other young kids learn the game and find their love for it.
Outside of sports and school I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my family. I enjoy activities such as going hunting with my dad and uncles, going for ATV rides, or going fishing. Each of these activities brings me a similar joy that football does, especially doing them alongside my family. My family has been my biggest support system along my football journey. I would not be here writing this letter if it was not for their support.
It has been my dream to play post-secondary level football since i stepped on the field when i was 7 years old. I have dedicated my life to achieving this goal. I am hoping that i will be successful in achieving it and find a college or university that fits both my needs and wants. It would be a life-changing opportunity and a dream come true.
