My goal is to be a contributing team member for a winning program. In my short athletic career I have earned a reputation as the hardest worker in the room and never being out of shape. A senior team captain who leads by actions and embraced our younger players helping them elevate their game by setting a solid example. NCSA won't list me as an elite athlete even though I'll finish High School with 7 Varsity Letters: Track (4) Football (2) Basketball (1) and track sprint times in the top 10 all time at our school. I just see it as more fuel for the fire.
The tougher the competition the better, I love the underdog role because I've always found a way to elevate my game or a way to win. My dad says I quietly crave the spotlight and that's why I run the final anchor of the 4X400 relay. Sprinting for 400m will obviously test you physically but the mental side of it is the real challenge. When your lungs are burning and the lactic acid is trying to shut your legs down all a person has left is their heart.
And that's how I approach all sports. I'll give you everything thing I have for 400m or 4 Quarters. I'm looking for a coach willing to show people the definition of a slept on Athlete.
See my journey on Instagram @phxkidnw8 and lets go win together!
