I first became interested in kicking when I was in 7th grade. Playing soccer since age 3 and being a football fan, I was always interested in the kicking aspect of football. Practicing shooting for soccer all the time I developed a very strong leg. In 8th grade I got very serious about playing high school football and started practicing kicking every weekend. I got a coach who played college football to teach me the fundamentals of kicking and he showed me how the technique to kicking a football is very different than a soccer kick. Having played soccer all my life it was very hard to transition to a football kick but with hard work, dedication, and a lot of practice I changed my technique and fixed my bad soccer kick habits. However, I'm am still consistently working to perfect my kicking form.
I came out for football freshman year having never played before. I started going to summer workouts and as we got closer to the season the Head Coach at my school told me I would be the Varsity kicker. I was the only freshman on the Varsity football team at my school.
Getting good grades and performing well academically is very important to me. I work my hardest in the classroom so I can have many options for attending college and getting a higher education. I maintain a 3.83 GPA.
