My name is Matthew Davis and I am 14 years old. I was born January 30th, 2003. I started playing football when I was 7 years old and have gotten better every year. I have to work hard for my grades in school. Having to work hard in the classroom has shown me that I can make A's and B's when I put the effort into it.
While I have worked hard in the classroom, I have also worked hard on the football field. Some of my accomplishments are making the Jr. Shrine team in the 6th grade, winning the board competition as a rising 7th grader at the App State camp, winning the board competition as a rising 8th grader at the Western Carolina camp, and winning the MVP award at the Luv Center skills camp in Shelby, NC. Going into the 8th grade, I attended the Offense-Defense football camp in Raleigh, NC. At that camp, I got the MVP for my age group at defensive line and was invited to play in the O-D All-American Bowl in Atlanta, GA. I am currently rank by O-D as the #5 middle school defensive lineman in the nation. I have also been invited to participate in the Nextgen Rising Stars 100 or "The Show" in Dallas, Tx and the O-D Elite Invitational in Myrtle Beach, SC .
I hope to continue to succeed on the field and in the classroom. I plan to go to college and play football. My dream is to one day play in the NFL but I know I need a backup plan. As of right now, my backup plan is to serve my country in the US Navy.
