"Strength is not gained overnight; it is cultivated over time"
I love football. I play not because its in my blood because there is not one player or athlete in my immediate family. I play because of my genuine love for the game. I never wanted to play because I wanted to be rich and famous (although that helps too) I wanted to play because I saw how happy it made people to watch the game being played. Football has inspired , and encouraged so many people. Football can bring anyone and everyone together. On holidays, for the Super Bowl, College Bowls and Championships just to name a few. Coming from a small town, those Friday night lights bring my community together in a way I have always been in awe about. I have seen the pretty side of football and the ugly side when supporters are happy about that sack that got us the ball back or are upset over a fumbled ball or even a play. I still wouldn't change it for nothing. These moments in the game is what make football one of the most beloved and exciting sports in America. I want to give America that feeling for the rest of my life.
My name is Noah and I am a student-athlete at Fairfield Central High School, where I am a Junior and a member of JROTC. I am a Defensive End with skills that can translate into a Tight End and that of a Quarterback. My current GPA is 3.675 and I was recently diagnosed with a mild learning disability. This has brought a lot of challenges but no giants were ever too big that I have never been able to conquer in the class and on the field. I have started this recruitment process a little later than some of my counterparts but I know that I will find my spot at a college on a team where I am actually wanted for the player and student I am and not just as a roster place holder. The transferable skills I have learned from being in JROTC such as leadership, integrity, and discipline make me the right choice for any college team looking for a coachable player.
I am not the player who will come to a team thinking he is the best, no one can take my spot and I don't have to work as hard. When I am recruited and choose my college home, I will be the player who is coachable, the player who welcomes all constructive criticism. A player who will always show up and shows out for the greater good; my team, my University and most importantly, the supporters. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Best Regards,
Noah Kendall
