I live in the country on a grain farm and attend school in a small town. In my spare time, I enjoy gaming. hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. I am a country boy with big dreams. Since the second grade, my goal has been to become a college football player with hopes of furthering my football career from there. In third grade, I started playing for Mount Vernon Area Youth Football (MVAYF) and contribute where I am today to those early years of football. Those early years taught me the fundamentals of football. My parents have been very supportive of my goals and have gone above and beyond to give me every opportunity to succeed. MVAYF was 45 miles away from our home, but that did not stop my parents from giving me the opportunity. The day I met Chad Greenway at the MVAYF made me realize that even a small town kid can make something of himself in football. In those early years, I was focused on learning the basics of every position. I played fullback and middle line backer throughout that experience and continue to grow at those positions. From my freshman to sophomore year, I focused on building muscle and went from 155lbs to 185lbs. Although I continue to work on muscle mass, my main focus right now is my speed. I play with enthusiasm and have great burst to the ball but could improve in my overall speed. My maturity level and responsibility help me be a natural leader. I enjoy watching film and critiquing myself and my teammates and finding the weakness of the opposing team. My focus and hard work appear on and off the field.
Academically, my freshman year GPA was 3.94 and I am striving for a 4.0 or higher GPA for the rest of high school. My career goal is to be a radiologist. My junior and senior year I will be taking dual credit courses. This will be a great experience for me to improve in time management and self learning. By taking dual credits, my focus on football while maintaining a high GPA during college can be easier achieved as I can take the lowest amount of credits to be a full-time student during the football season. Although I have lived in a small town, I feel I can adapt to urban life with ease. I am comfortable with who I am as a person and have no problem putting myself in a new environment. Throughout school, I have always considered my personal goals in selecting my course work rather than just following the crowd.
