After I graduate High School I aspire to go to college. I plan to major in computer science, in hope of becoming a computer programmer. I have chosen this career path based on my uncle Josh. I see Josh as a very successful man. In the summer of 2017, my hometown of Aransas Pass, Texas was devastated by hurricane Harvey; my family and I were forced to evacuate. My family and I evacuated to Josh’s home in San Antonio, Texas. Due to his career in computer programming he was able to take all of us in, and did not need to ask for anything in return. Josh went so far as to buy us a four hundred dollar generator for when we returned home, so that we would have the means to clean up our home, stay cool, and have basic necessities. Josh has always been a particularly caring man, and due to his successful career, he is able to show it in multiple different ways. His career provides him with enough income to be able to care for himself, his immediate family, and his extended family in times of need. I aspire to also have the ability to do this for my family.
I have learned from my uncle to be a strong, caring, and dedicated person. I believe I would be a good candidate for any team, because I take the game very seriously. I believe my commitment to sport surpasses most others in my age range. I am dedicated to improving myself on and off of the field. I am a very competitive person, and I will work with each individual team member to ensure that we do our best and put our best foot forward. I believe in putting one hundred percent into practice, because you practice like you play.
In academics, I am ranked eleventh in my class but my goal is to be top 10. I take academics very seriously, because grades can often determine if you are able to play or not. I also believe in being a well rounded person, and that means that while my heart is in the game, I must also perform to the best of my ability in academics.
