I am Wesley McCollum and I play Wide Receiver at Argyle High School. I started off my career at Coppell High School. My Freshman year I played 2 full games before breaking my wrist which ended my season. As a Sophomore I was not a part of the Coppell Football team. Being away from football for almost 2 years showed me just how much the sport means to me. I decided I had to play again for my Junior year. As a result of essentially not playing my Freshman or Sophomore years, I was placed on Junior Varsity for the beginning of my Junior year. In the 9 games that I played on JV I accumulated 17 touchdowns. I was then moved up to Varsity for 5 games. Since the end of the 2016 season I have grown just under 2 inches and gained 16 pounds. This past April I moved to Argyle High & I now look forward to chasing a state championship as an Argyle Eagle.
As a student I have a 3.66/4.0 GPA and a 26 ACT with a 29 superscore. In college I am undecided on a major, but know that I would like to be a part of business or law. Playing the sport that I love at the next level has always been a goal of mine. Playing my first full season of Varsity football this upcoming 2017 season will give me a chance to show my abilities while helping my team win games.
