Greetings,
I'm Warner Erwin, Jr., currently living just south of Austin, Texas, and proud to represent Buda Johnson High School. Beyond the gridiron, I have diverse interests that fuel my passion for personal growth and community engagement. As a dedicated member of the scouting community, I achieved my Eagle Scout rank in 2024, embodying the values of leadership and service. Academically, I'm a member of the National Honor Society, upholding the values of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Football has been a cornerstone of my life for the past decade. Over the years, I've celebrated nine championships. Notably, my freshman season culminated in an undefeated record and the title of district champions. Subsequently, I have been honored with Honorable Mention accolades for offensive linemen during my sophomore year and received All-District First Team honors in arguably one of the most competitive 6A districts in the state.
I've actively sought opportunities for growth, attending football camps across Texas and Arkansas, as well as specialized lineman and football specialists (long-snapping) camps. Furthermore, my athletic endeavors extend beyond the football field, as I am a two-time regional qualifier and state qualifier status in powerlifting, culminating in a 13th place finish overall in the state's Division 1 competition in 2024. Additionally, my dedication to football has afforded me the opportunity to participate in prestigious tournaments such as the FBU National Championships and True Talent All American, where I've showcased my skills on a national stage.
I've actively engaged in various community service initiatives, including roadside clean-up efforts, providing fans to the elderly in the summertime, volunteering with the Texas Special Olympics, and assisting with extracurricular activities. My dedication to development is reflected in my training, to focus skill development and conditioning under some great coaches. In addition to my pursuits on the football field, I've explored other athletic endeavors, including wrestling and track and field. My involvement in our area's competitive youth swim team has earned me recognition as a top point earner within my age group.
In conclusion, I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my journey with you and am excited about the prospect of contributing to your program. Thank you for considering my recruitment, and I look forward to the possibility of further dialogue.
