My name is Aaron Marquez and I am from El Paso, Texas, which is a small city west of Texas. I have always been a big fan and athlete of football, and ever since I was persuaded to join the football team in eighth grade, I was quickly drawn towards the sport as I loved the adrenaline and excitement i felt. Through my process I have had ups and downs but I have never quit nor gave up, which makes me determined. Not only am I focused on athletics, but as well as my grades and test scores. I have worked hard for my grades, which lead me to achieving a a 4.0 gpa, as well as being inducted into the top 5 of my grade. In addition, I want to continue achieving these types of achievements not just in high school, but also in college, such as earning my degree in mechanical engineering.
As a person I have not only learned to be a hard worker in athletics and academics, but as well as in life. For instance, I learned that I have to be strong and hardworking in the case of the death of my grandmother. This influenced me greatly as she was one of my biggest supporters and one of the most beneficial person in my life overall. For this reason I want to make her proud and push myself to my limits to achieve all my goals in life. This was such a great barrier in my life as I did not suspect this to happen, but more importantly it taught me push forward in life as it will throw many obstacles your way. In the case of football, I have learned that nothing is ever given, it is earned. Other things that I have learned is to be tough, motivated, and lastly, consistent. Moreover, I also possess skills such as: good communication, leadership, competitiveness, organization, and lastly, teamwork.
