Hmmm, what to say? I need to start with thanking my grandparents. I have lived with them for 7 years now. To be honest with you if it wasn't for them these goals and opportunities I have in front of me would not exist. I plan on pursuing wildlife/natural resources management studies along with criminal justice in hopes to become a Game Warden. Not only for me, but also for them, is one of the reasons I want to go to college. I want to show them that their commitment, care, and sacrifices were all worth it.
I participate in basketball, baseball, track/field, and powerlifting, but football is my passion. I've been a varsity starter since my freshman year receiving 1st team all-district accolades both my freshman and sophomore year, and I am totally committed to the sport. My high school team went deep into the playoffs both my freshman and sophomore years, loosing to the eventual state champions both times. Although disappointing, the experience is amazing and just fuels my drive for next year. I have become a team leader, been voted team captain several times. In fact I feel this leadership development has lead to me being nominated and voted in as one of my school's Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter officer, which I am very excited about.
I am far from a genius, so I work pretty hard to keep my grades up. I attribute that to my grandpa, a teacher going on 33 years. He pushes me and has instilled those study habits in me helping me to realize that it's all about an education. The work I put into my classes has allowed me to be on the A honor roll and maintain top ten in my class.
