When first moved from mexico to the united states i never thought that i would be here, today i see myself training every day putting the hard work at school and with my team because i never thought i would have the chance to play football with some of the elite. I got the first taste of tackle football at the age of 5 playing in Mexico with a team called aguilas. I remember the first practice we were doing Oklahoma drill and i got drilled in the stomach and lost my air, but at that moment i realized that “this is football” and even though i wasn’t the biggest i was going to hit you and you were gonna be scared next play to even come close to me. However the biggest learning for me was my sophomore year where for the first time i was a backup, being a backup is the hardest thing ever because week after week you train just as hard as the other seniors without knowing if i was going to play on Friday. It wasnt unitl the last game where the guy who started over me got ejected from the game and i had to start i had 180 yards that game which for a backup was great, that year was the year where i realized that just with a little extra work i could be great. When the new season came along and the seniors had left i was the man that had to put the example for the young ones not just in the football field but outside with people its really important to me to be kind with people simple things that people forget like saying “thank you” to the lunch lady ,helping people out with a subject that they are struggling, simple things that makes a real man.
