Jett Hendrix '18 Recruiting Profile

Both of my parents have been Texas High School Coaches for 25 plus years! I have dreamed of becoming a Division I football player and playing for a National Championship my whole life. I understand what it takes athletically as we'll as academically to achieve my upmost dreams!! I currently want to pursue a degree in Engineering, or Coaching at the Collegiate or NFL levels.

I believe what sets me apart from other recruits is the fact that I am a Coaches kid! I have been around athletics my entire life!! My Dad has been an Offensive and Defensive Coordinator as well as an Athletic Director in a football rich state. I can handle the pressure of being in the spot light , and the struggles of adversity. Along with being a coaches son comes playing many different positions from QB, WR, RB, S, LB , Punter and many more! This experience makes me more knowledgeable than the average player.

My Dad, Mom, and Sister have all been a college athlete and I intend to carry on that expectation. I have been fortunate enough to be exposed to the biggest stages in the state of Texas. My parents provide me with the opportunity to attend camps at universities such as UT, Texas A & M and Rice. I also attend games at Baylor. My Cousin played at Rice then on to the Houston Texans for 3 years, he has just completed his second season with the Philadelphia Eagles. I have been fortunate enough to attend practice and games with him as well. As stated before I am blessed with great opportunities and I believe there is no substitute for experience .  I can not wait to see what the future holds and where I will be obtaining my life long dreams!
