Whitaker Brown '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Whitaker Brown and I am currently a senior at Greenbrier Christian Academy in Chesapeake, VA.  I have been a kicker on the varsity football team since 8th grade.  So far this season, I have enjoyed at lot of success as a kicker as I have gotten much stronger through off-season weight programs and a lot of practice time on the field.  I am currently 20 for 21 on PATs and 1 for 1 on FGs through five games.  We play 8 man football and I am also the starting TE and DE to help the team out.  We are 4-1 thus far.

I am looking for a school that has not only a commitment to athletics but more importantly, in helping me prepare for the future academically.  I currently have a 3.73 GPA and am interested in pursuing a career in the Business / Finance field.  As to my athletic goals, I want to be the best I can be and contribute to the success of something larger than me.  Most of my kicking success has been self-taught so I am looking for a program that can help me develop my skills further.

In addition to football, I also play for a travel club soccer team (BeachFC), where for the past ten years I have started as the sweeper for the team.  I am also involved in missions through my school.   I attended a missions trip to the Dominican Republic last spring where we worked with a school helping with education, ministry and manual labor efforts to improve the school.  Lastly, I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout this past summer.  My project was building a 600 sq ft paver patio area for my school so that the students can enjoy a nice picnic area during lunch time.
