Jackson Bartholomew '19 Recruiting Profile

I am Jackson Bartholomew a 205 lb linebacker, fullback, and long snapper from Midlothian, VA. My goal is to further develop and learn as an athlete at the collegiate level and bring my abilities, dedication, and strong work ethic to a university football program.  I received the most distinguished honor for Cosby High School Football, the Titan Award in 2017, and the MVP Defensive Player Award in 2018. I served as the team captain and defensive captain in 2018,  as well as the defensive captain and a 7 game team captain in 2017.   I was also recognized at the Conference/Region level both my junior and senior year. I believe my strong abilities on the field contributed to these honors, but more importantly, my commitment, respect for teammates, leadership, and the hours of training outside of practice are what set me apart. These characteristics and skills are what I hope to bring to your football program. My motto is that no one should work harder than me, and I believe that the best leader is one who leads by example both on and off the field.

The dedication I have to football is equally paralleled to my dedication to academics. I will have completed 8 AP courses by the end of my senior year, and have a 4.1 GPA. I want to continue to pursue my academic and career goals at a university who has a strong academic reputation and is committed to both their student-athletes’ football and academic success.
