I am a very outgoing and talkative person by nature and tend to find the most positive outlook on just about any situation. I am very passionate about my swimming and have dedicated the majority of my life to my sport. Outside of swimming, I have a love for snowboarding, sketching and drawing, along with performing as first chair clarinetist in my High School band. I also pride myself as being a leader in my church along with my symphonic band.
Ever since I joined my swim team and witnessed what the senior level athletes on my team were capable of, it became a goal to compete at a college level. The reason I love swimming is because of the opportunity it gives me to race against other athletes in a competitive environment. This environment helps me set goals for myself along with giving me the motivation to work hard to achieve them. The competition between teammates and competitors tends to bring me closer to other people. This helps to uplift everyone's work ethic and enthusiasm to succeed. I not only enjoy receiving this camaraderie but I also enjoy contributing to others in the same way.
I am looking for a college with an excellent reputation in the STEM field as well as a successful swim program. My goals for college are to excel in swimming while acquiring the academic knowledge to secure a successful career path. I am passionate about my schooling and love to learn new things. I hope to bring an open mind and creative thinking to my college years and show I am willing to work hard and diligently to achieve my goals.
