Markus McCoy '26 Recruiting Profile

I feel what separates me from everybody else is my mindset. The mindset for me is to never be satisfied with where I’m at. Every athlete in HS that wants to play at the next level is going to work hard and that’s the standard but I want to be above the standard. On days that I don’t feel like waking up at 5:45am for workouts, I tell myself someone else is out there getting their workout in and that mindset makes me want to get out there and push myself harder. I get to practice early to go over plays with my coach and learn different coverages and I really enjoy expanding my football IQ. If I get an opportunity to play at the next level I want coaches to know they will get a player who will get to practice early and have the mindset that no one is going to outwork me. I have a 3.31 GPA at the completion of my sophomore year and I’m confident that will continue to go up and I would also like to have the option of graduating early, if possible.
