Personal Statement

Hello,  My name is Tyler Smith, and I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and why I believe I would be an excellent fit to your school and program.

I believe in family, faith and fellowship.  Being a student athlete has allowed me to balance all three of these passions.  With my faith, not only in my personal relationship with Christ, but my faith in my fellow teammates and friends. Family - I take great pride in my family and protect those in which I consider family. Family to me is not just the family you are born into, but I consider my teammates and close friends a part of my family as well. Fellowship, the camaraderie built with my teammates, coaches, friends, and family . These 3 attributes are at the core of who I am.

I envision my time in college to be the next step in my personal growth. My goal is to explore business and religious studies that will position me well for my future career plans. On the field, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team.  As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my football career, I will strive to be an impact player both on and off the field. I will strive to be a leader and influencer within the locker room, and on campus.

Accomplishments, Achievements, and Interests -

Youth Counselor - 4 years

Church Youth Leader -4 years

Mentoring program for incoming Freshman - 3 years

Volunteer Monthly Breakfast server - 4 Years

Numerous volunteer/charity activities through local church

Outreach program that connected with 1000 families during the initial stay home stay safe order due to Covid-19

Please know that most importantly I will conduct myself  with honor and respect on and off the field, as I am aware that how I carry myself reflects my upbringing, my team, my coaches and the school I attend.

Thank you for your interest in me as a student athlete and I look forward to speaking with you.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
