I am a good teammate and leader, and I am very coachable. Several years ago I attended a Youth Leadership Academy that was run by the City of Charleston Police Department. At the end of the camp I was presented with a Leadership Award, and attended the following year as a counselor. I have started on the varsity team at George Washington High School since my freshman year.
I have been playing football since 3rd grade. In middle school I started all three years, and was named to the All-County Team as a defensive lineman. As a freshman I started 6 games on the defensive line, and by my sophomore year earned a spot as the fulltime offensive right tackle. We had a rough start to the year, but ended up 8-4, and made it to the State Quarterfinals. That success was because we started working as a team. At the end of the year I was named Most Improved Offensive Lineman with my friend Brace Mullet. In the Spring I was invited to a camp in Maryland, but it was cancelled due to Covid-19. I was really looking forward to the chance to show my skills, and compete against other lineman who plan to play in college. For my junior year I was moved to center, a position I last played in 7th grade. During the Covid shortened year we finished 3-3 and lost in the first round of the State Playoffs.
I have been named to the 2nd Team Preseason All-State team prior to my senior year, and I am also a captain. We have a great group of lineman, and I look forward to competing this upcoming season.
I would like to find a college that has one of my potential majors, and a team where the players support one another. I would like to make a decision about where to attend college early my senior year.
