My collegiate goals are to find a University that provides an atmosphere where I can learn, thrive as both a student and an athlete and prepare for my life after college. I am highly competitive, I'm an incredibly supportive teammate, I am interested in doing what it takes for my team to succeed even if that means putting my personal goals aside for that purpose, I never feel that I have worked hard enough or learned all that there is to know, so I believe that I'm very coachable and eager to learn.
From a character standpoint, I attend what is arguably the most academically challenging school in my state, Charleston Catholic High School, and managed to finish this most recent academic year with a 3.40. Aside from that, I participate in community service projects, was asked to participate as an instructor in my club's learn to swim program and work to raise funds for Little Victory's Animal Rescue. Further, I'm a starting power forward for my school's basketball team and will be a rising freshman in the fall of 2017.
From an athletic perspective, I'm very young for my grade level. I'm almost a year younger than those in my class. So, my body strength is just beginning to catch up with my size, but I have a lot to build on in this regard. Also, I have a 69.5 inch wingspan and my pediatrician believes that I'm still growing. I think my length is an advantage in the pool, but power development will be key for me to continue to progress.
In closing, it would be a distinct privilege and honor to ultimately compete at the highest level and earn a swimming scholarship.
