My name is Alex Thiel and I am a senior at Appleton North High School. My primary positions are free safety or strong safety. I've had a lot of experience at both positions. I also played outside linebacker during my freshman year. Our team is consistently successful throughout the regular season and the playoffs. We have made it to the third round of the playoffs ever since I've played here. We are also notorious and well known for creating all-conference football players. This year we had 12 players on each side of the ball that made some sort of all-conference, including myself as honorable mention. The challenges that I have faced throughout my football career has prepared me for the challenges of life. It has taught me how to be a leader, how to fight through tough situations, and how to set and achieve my goals. I’ve loved this game for my whole life, and without it I wouldn’t be who I am today. Appleton North has definitely prepared me for education and athletics at the next level. My experiences as a football player has helped me improve my character, personality, and work ethic in ways I can transfer to my life off the field. The life skills that I have learned throughout all of my years as a football player has done well for me in school and my personal life and forever has changed me into a mature and responsible adult and will help me keep growing.
