My name is Ryan Lund, and I am a student in 11th Grade at Cambridge High School, located in Cambridge, WI. I am currently a three year varsity starter for my high school football team. In my freshman year I started at Right Guard for 8 of the 10 games played, and Nose Tackle for 2 of the 10 games played. During my sophomore year last year, I started every game at Left Tackle, and started 10 of the 12 games at Nose Tackle. This year (2019) I started every game at Left Offensive Tackle, and Defensive Tackle. During my Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior season, my team has won the conference championship. In my sophomore, I earned First Team All Conference Offensive Line. In my Junior Season I earned Unanimous First Team All Conference as a Defensive Tackle, and an Offensive Lineman. I also earned accolades as the Capitol Conference South Offensive Lineman of the Year, and Defensive Lineman of the Year. I also earned the Offensive Lineman of the Year within our program. I also received First Team All-Region Honors on the OL&DL.
My goal is to play football at the collegiate level once I graduate from high school. I have been working towards my goal by committing myself to weight lifting, and training since my 8th grade year. After my sophomore season of football, I decided to dedicate myself to elevate my training, and started attending NX Level Training of Waukesha, WI. I currently attend NX Level once a week, and attend the other days to the weight room while utilizing my high school’s offseason program.
My academics are at a very high level, and I honor my schooling greatly. I currently hold a 3.98 GPA out of a 4.5 GPA weighted scale. I am currently ranked sixth in my class, and am steadily holding it. I have also received at 26 on my ACT. I hold my academics to a high standard to ensure the best outcome for me.
In my life I value hard work, dedication, and honesty. I am a team player, and I don’t like to disappoint others, making me hold my standards high for everyone. Growing up on a family farm has held me to high standards in my work. Also wrestling for 4 years of my life has taught me true grit and dedication, making me want to achieve my goals. I’m hoping to continue to value these ethics, and continue to utilize them as part of a collegiate team.
